Taking Photos with Natural Lighting during the Golden Times of the Day

Hello, my ever loyal blog readers. Today, we will be covering the topic regarding natural lighting photography. Natural lighting photography is all about perfect timing. We say this because there are certain times of the day when it is best and worst to take photos in broad daylight.

It is worst to take photos during noontime. Beginner photographers will naturally think that as long as the sun is up, you will be able to capture a lot of great shots. However, all you will have are poor quality shots. Aside from seeing your model’s “trying not to squint” expression, you will also see shadows here and there with your model looking too dark. It loses the real essence of the photo.

The tip that always does the trick is to wait for the golden times of the day. The natural lighting which will give you that perfect shot is during sunrise and sunset. It is during these times that the photos you take will also capture highlights and shadows, which will accentuate your model or your subject.

Try getting shots during sunrise and sunset. You will be surprised to see that you can capture better photos with depth and ambiance.
